Tristin is a lifelong resident of the Finger Lakes; she grew up in Watkins Glen and developed an interest in agriculture and working with livestock through her experiences working on local farms and with veterinarians. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from SUNY Geneseo and recently completed her Master of Professional Studies in Animal Science with a concentration in Dairy Management at Cornell University.

Tristin’s experience includes dairy research, livestock production, agricultural outreach, and education. During her time at Cornell, she worked on several dairy research projects focused on calf health, cattle nutrition, and management and completed her graduate capstone on housing decisions for preweaned dairy calves. She previously served as an Agriculture Educator with CCE Chemung County, supporting agricultural programming, producer outreach, newsletters, social media, and community events.

In her role with CCE Cayuga, Tristin is excited to work with local producers and community members and to help connect people with practical, research-based agricultural information and resources. Outside of Extension, she enjoys spending time on her family farm, caring for her cattle and poultry, creating macrame, and spending time outdoors.
