4-H Jelly-Making and Canning Workshop

Learn how to make jelly and can it safely in this 4-H workshop. Youth will work together following an extension-validated recipe for a fruit juice jelly. Youth will learn about the process of hot-water bath canning, preparation, cleanliness, processing-time, cooling, and long-term storage. Completed jars will be ready to take with youth at the end of the workshop. These jars will also be eligible to be submitted to the 4-H county fair and NY State Fair.

The workshop has a registration fee of $5.00 for enrolled 4-Hers and $10.00 for unenrolled youth. You may pay ahead of time on Paypal here: https://www.paypal.com/ncp/payment/SBG7QHUDFDCDC or with cash or check at the event. No one will be turned away for inability to pay.

Youth should dress appropriately for potentially getting messy. Parents or guardians should plan on staying on premise with youth under 14.Please email Sara Wagner at smw352@cornell.edu with any allergen questions or concerns.
