2025 4-H Public Presentations

Awards will be given at the end the event. Youth and families are encourage to stay to provide a positive audience for all youth.

The Public Presentations event provide youth an opportunity to develop and polish their public speaking skills. For this event, 4-H Youth will choose their own subject matter, or topic to create a public presentation. Through public presentations, youth learn to: express themselves clearly and convincingly; organize their ideas and present them in a logic order; research subjects; problem solving skills; develop self-confidence and much more. There are 5 different public presentations that 4-H Members can choose from. These option include: Demonstration, Illustrated Talk, Formal Speech, Recitation, Food Demonstration and Team Presentations.
If your presentation includes a Food Demonstration or live animal you must email Sara Wagner at smw352@cornell.edu to ensure that your presentation can be supported. Live animals or food demonstrations including tree nuts or peanuts will not be permitted at the District Public Presentation event.
