Owasco Meat Processing Tour

Join 4-H and the Market Livestock Auction for this opportunity to look into how livestock is processed. Participants will tour the processing area of a USDA-inspected, custom processing facility. Participants will see how carcasses are prepared and cut down into retail cuts. Cuts are a large and difficult portion of the Livestock Skillathon - this is a great opportunity for youth interested in competing in Livestock Skillathon to learn right from the source!

This event fulfills the requirement for Market Livestock Participants for animal agriculture workshop attendance.

This event is not intended for Cloverbuds. Youth should be 8+ years and enrolled in 4-H.Parents are asked to attend with their 4-Hers. Participants should dress warmly and wear clean, sturdy shoes.
