4-H Fair
The 2026 4-H Youth Fair is Wednesday, July 29 through Saturday, August 1 at the Union Springs Fire Department located at 257 Cayuga Street in Union Springs, NY .
Each summer, 4-H youth in Cayuga County have an opportunity to share and showcase the projects they've been working on, at the 4-H Youth Fair. The public is invited to come Thursday-Saturday and see what the youth in Cayuga and Seneca County 4-H are doing in the areas of animal science, plant science projects, entomology displays, home economics, photography and more!
2026 4-H Youth Fair Important Dates & Schedule
Thursday, July 22
- 5:00 pm: 4-H Dog Obedience Show at Finger Lakes Mall, Auburn (Public Welcome)
Saturday, July 25
- 10 am: 4-H Market Auction Poultry Show at Ward O’Hara Agricultural Museum (Public Welcome)
Tuesday, July 28
- 6:00 pm: 4-H Youth Building Exhibit Judging (4-H Exhibitors Only)
Wednesday, July 29
- 3:00-6:00 pm: Livestock Move In, State Vet on premises (4-H Exhibitors Only)
Thursday, July 29 (Public Welcome to all events except morning meeting)
- 8:00 am - Morning Meeting (4-H Exhibitors Only)
- 8:00 am - Late check in time for animals arriving after 6pm on Wed.
- 8:30am - Auction animal weigh-in
- 10:00 am - Sheep herding exhibition
- 12:00 pm - 4-H Poultry Show
- 12:00 pm - Dairy Judging Clinic
- 4:00 pm - 4-H Goat & Sheep Showmanship, Market Auction Show, and Breed Show
- At the conclusion of the Goat and Sheep Shows - Costume Show
Friday, July 30 (Public Welcome to all events except morning meeting)
- 8:00 am - Morning Meeting (4-H Exhibitors Only)
- 9:00 am - 4-H Beef and Swine Showmanship, Market Auction Show, and 4-H Breed Show
- 1:00 pm - Dairy Showmanship
- 3:00 - 6:00 pm - Bidder Registration
- 5:00 pm - Political Leaders Show
- 6:00 pm - Market Livestock Auction
Saturday, August 2 (Public Welcome to all events except morning meeting)
- 8:00 am - Morning Meeting (4-H Exhibitors Only)
- 10:00 am - 4-H Dairy Breed Show
- 12:00 am - Rabbit and Cavy Show
- 1:00 pm - Safe Tractor Competition
- 3:00 pm: Awards and Prizes
- 5:00 pm: Tentative Release Time for all 4-H Animals and Youth Building Projects

2025 4-H Fair Sponsorships
Our 4-H Program invites Cayuga County Farms, Businesses, and Individuals to consider providing a sponsorship for the 2025 Cayuga County 4-H Youth Fair and Market Livestock Auction, to be held July 30th - August 2nd, 2025, at the Union Springs Fire Department.
Sponsoring businesses, farms, groups, and individuals will be recognized prominently throughout the event as supporting the future success of our local 4-H youth. For sponsorship recognition, please make a gift of $100 or more by July 1, 2025-- Complete and returning the Sponsorship Form.
