4-H Fair

The 2024 Cayuga County 4-H Youth Fair is Thursday, August 1 through Saturday, August 3 at the Union Springs Fire Department located at 257 Cayuga Street in Union Springs, NY .

Each summer, 4-H youth in Cayuga County have an opportunity to share and showcase the projects they've been working on, at the Cayuga County Fair. The public is invited to come and see what the youth in Cayuga County 4-H are doing in the areas of animal science, plant science projects, entomology displays, home economics and photography.

2024 4-H Youth Fair Important Dates & Schedule

Saturday, July 27

• 3:00 pm: Market Auction Poultry Show at Ward O’Hara Agricultural Museum (Public Welcome)

Wednesday, July 31

• 6:00 pm: 4-H Youth Building Exhibit Judging (Exhibitors Only)

Thursday August 1

• 3:00-6:00 pm:  Livestock Move In, State Vet on premises (Exhibitors Only)

Friday August 2 (Public Welcome to all events)

• 12:00 pm: 4-H Livestock Showmanship, Market Auction Show, and 4-H Breed Show (Goats, Hogs, Sheep, and Beef)
• 3:30 pm: 4-H Dairy Showmanship
• 4:30 pm: 4-H Poultry Show
• 6:00 pm: Dairy Costume Class
  
  FRIDAY FOOD OPTIONS:
  Mooney's Food Truck (wood fired specialty pizza)
  Ward's Food Truck (menu tbd)

Saturday, August 3 (Public Welcome to all events except Buyer’s Reception)

• 10:00 am: 4-H Rabbit and Cavy Show
• 10:00 am: 4-H Dairy Breed Show
• 12:00-2:00 pm: Market Auction Buyer Registration
• 1:00 pm: Buyers’ Reception (Registered Buyers and Exhibitors)
• 1:30 pm: Political Leader’s Show
• 3:00 pm: 2nd Annual 4-H Market Livestock Auction
• 5:00 pm: Tentative Release Time for all 4-H Animals and Youth Building Projects
  
  SATURDAY FOOD OPTIONS:
  Mooney's Food Truck (wood fired specialty pizza)
